All other provinces continue to use the CALA Combined Foundations of Fitness Theory and Aquafitness Leadership Training Course, Part 1 & Part 2. Any person who has completed the CALA Combined Foundations course, is not required to complete the Vertical Water Training Course or the Group Aqua Fitness Specialty Course."

Choreography

Communication to the Participants is Essential
A variety of choreography can bring variety and challenges to the class. There is no limit to where your imagination can go with a combination of CALA moves and music. Some suggestions include:
  • Find out what your participant's interests are and design around that.
  • Ask your participants to tell you what their favourite moves are.
  • Invite your participants to review available music and maybe as a group purchase some new cds.
  • Plan your cycling class around an event such as the Tour De France or the Olympics
  • Incorporate movements from sports, dance or stretching
  • Consider a theme class for special events. Themes might include: (Irish movements on St Patrick's Day)
  • A theme might be based on music of choice such as: Latin, Country or Celtic
  • Have a theme class based on an event related to your group. Maybe someone is getting married
  • Change the intensity of your class by doing a Pilates, yoga, water walking, or balance class to slow or gentle piano music
  • Take a cd and create choreography for each song.
