Aquatic Fitness Instructor

The Township of Langley seeks applicants on an
ongoing basis to augment auxiliary positions for
Aquatic Fitness Instructor to join our team of
professionals in the Recreation, Culture, and Parks
Division; Recreation Facilities and Programs
Department. We believe in building individuals and
communities to be active and healthy for life.
|Summary of Duties
The successful candidates must have the
ability to teach group aquatic fitness classes for
participants of various ages, abilities and
interests; as well as have strong interpersonal
skills, be well organized and be able to communicate
effectively, both verbal and written, with all
levels of internal and external contacts.
Certificates, and Registrations
BCRPA Aqua Fit Instructor (or equivalent),First Aid
and CPR certificates are required. Experience
with rehabilitation, adapted or waterworks programs
would be an asset for this position.

These positions are defined by the Township of
Langley as positions of trust (Child Safety) and
require a criminal record check.
The rate of pay for this exempt position starts at
$24.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on experience and
qualifications, plus 4% in lieu of benefits. The
hours of work are non-standard hours and/or
non-standard work week.
