Job Summary: Responsible for the training and supervision of a variety of participants of various ages and physical ability and developing a program that recognizes their capabilities and level of fitness within a community recreation environment. Motivates participants to achieve their fitness goals, while ensuring a positive and safe environment for all.

Duties may include but not limited to:
•Facilitates, leads and supervises cutting edge group Aqua fitness exercise classes and programming that meets the individual needs of participants
•Organizes and writes lesson plans and long term core plans to facilitate progressive learning.
•Utilizes innovative teaching strategies that will maximize participant success
•Provides a safe learning environment
•Participates in all mandatory staff training and meetings,
•Completes all related administrative duties
•Oversee volunteers as required

•High School Diploma is required
•Two to four years of previous experience in an Aquatics or Fitness Instructional capacity teaching/instructing both youth and adults is required
•CALA Aqua fitness Leadership Training and Certification
•Experience as a Lifeguard and/or Swimming Instructors, Group Fitness Instructors, or Personal Trainer preferred
•Current Standard First Aid
•Current NLS and/or LSS Swim Instructor and/or Certified Fitness Instructor
•Good customer service and communication (written and verbal) skills to coach and mentor a diverse range of generally adult students enrolled in the Specialty Aquatics Programs
•Excellent Leadership skills
